And so im in Peru. Lima, Peru to be more precise. Its been wonderful. I have seen a lot of ruins including one of the world wonders, Machu Picchu which is an ancient Incan city nestled into a mountainside. The Andean culture is tres different, people are very friendly and everyone wants to sell me something. There are inumerable stray dogs walking around everywhere, sometimes in packs. Coca tea is everywhere, made with the leaves of the coca tree which are very legal here, and very illegal in the US. Cocaine! The drinking age is 18, but I can order drinks wherever. Plus I can buy cigarettes, booya.Everything is very inexpensive so my suitcase is rapidly becoming fuller and fuller. Down here it is winter, as I am south of the equator but their winter is no harsher than ours. Unfortunately I packed mostly summer clothes, only two pairs of pants, one of which belongs to Rosie. This hotel was very good to have internet service, I missed the cool glow of a computer screen. I depart for Miami at 12am tomorrow night and then endure the long haul home. Until then. <3
